I’ve read a lot about citations becoming more important. Don’t get too upset, though. Google’s algorithm is much more complicated than just switching everything to facts-based rankings, and there are SO many other pieces to the puzzle (like social sharing!).

My Life Lately…

+Mongomery last week, Daytona this week…my sister told me to enjoy my youthful energy, but I’m kind of wondering where that went right now.

Ok this may seem like a silly question lol… I’ve heard so many great things about twitter chats but… how do you do them? I’ve tried to join in a couple times but there’s so many tweets everywhere I can’t keep up haha.

Not silly at all! They are a whirlwind. After my first Twitter Chat I was like “What just happened??” haha. I’m not sure how other people do it, but I usually open 3 tabs; one for the host’s twitter page, one with a feed of the hashtag so I can see all the posts, and then one where I can answer the questions.

For anyone not familiar with them at all, here’s a little intro: The host will ask questions every 7-10 minutes with Q1, then everyone answers with A1 (or whatever #) and everyone uses the hashtag. Then make sure to interact with other users and use the hashtag in your responses. The first one I did was about using Pinterest for business, so I learned a lot about tools, strategies, etc. Plus, I think I got about 50 new Twitter followers who are genuinely interested in my feed!

I love #ellechat. I’ve done it a few times although I’ve been a little busy to do it lately. If you haven’t checked it out yet, you also might enjoy #fireworkpeople. It’s on Tuesday nights at 9 EST.

I was just talking with Ashley from fireworkpeople during the last #ellechat. I’ll definitely be trying that one out soon! Thanks for the recommendation. Hope to see you in them 🙂
